My stay at Garden Street Inn was a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, just steps from downtown, and the staff was quite welcoming and friendly. However, the noise levels were quite disturbing during my stay. I struggled to get a good night's sleep with sounds from neighboring rooms and outside traffic. The breakfast had its charm with unique items, but it lacked variety, leaving me hoping for a more traditional option next time.

Rooms

My room felt spacious but faced issues with noise from outside and nearby rooms. The furnishings were charming but overall, I found the bathroom a bit outdated.
Service

The staff was genuinely kind and accommodating, yet I had an instance where the front desk seemed overwhelmed. It left me feeling a bit uncomfortable during check-in.
Location

The proximity to restaurants and shops was ideal, making it easy to explore downtown, but the loud street noise at night was quite a drawback.
Dining

Breakfast was creatively prepared but only offered limited choices. I was hoping for a more conventional breakfast option like eggs and bacon.

The hotel’s quaint charm shone through its historical features. although I found the premium price didn't quite match the overall modern amenities.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Garden Street Inn in San Luis Obispo. The historic charm of the Victorian home added so much character, and I loved how everything was within walking distance. The breakfast was home-cooked and delicious, though occasionally the coffee pot ran low. Overall, it was a good experience but had some minor hiccups.

I had a pleasant stay at the Garden Street Inn, enjoying the charming atmosphere and clean, comfortable room. However, parking was a bit of a hassle, and some amenities left me wanting more. Overall, it was a lovely experience, especially for fans of Victorian architecture.

Rooms

My room, the Emerald Isle, was cozy but smaller than I'd expected for a Victorian. It was clean and nicely decorated, though I found the absence of a clawfoot tub disappointing since the website description was misleading. Also, it would be great if more windows could open for fresh air.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. However, parking was tricky, as I had to pay for a spot a block away, and finding street parking was a challenge, particularly on weekend nights.
Dining

Breakfasts were homemade and vegetarian, featuring a rotating dish each morning. While they were good, I found the food a bit bland and lacking in variety. There were even days when they ran out of certain items, which was frustrating for guests who arrived later.
Facilities

I enjoyed the homemade cookies they left at our door every evening and the variety of coffee available throughout the day. I also liked the gardens and outdoor sitting areas for relaxing. However, an upgrade to the furniture in the rooms would enhance the overall experience.

I found my stay at the Garden Street Inn to be quite charming, especially with its historical atmosphere and clean, comfortable rooms. The location was excellent for wandering around downtown San Luis Obispo. However, I think the breakfast offerings could use more variety and flavor, and some of the amenities felt outdated.

The Inn's location is perfect for exploring SLO on foot, with shops and restaurants just a short walk away. It made my visit much more enjoyable without needing to drive.

Breakfast had some homemade vegetarian options, but I found them a bit bland, and I hoped for more variety throughout my stay. The absence of juice was also a letdown.

I appreciated the availability of coffee, tea, and afternoon wine, but some areas like the bathroom needed better accessibility features. Some windows in my room were also painted shut, which was disappointing.
